The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee’s Sub-committee on Employment and Workplace Safety will hold a hearing  on the topic, “Workers’ Memorial Day: Are Existing Private Sector Whistleblower Protections Adequate To Ensure Safe Workplaces?” Panelists who will testify include Tom Devine, of the Government Accountability Project, who will address the adequacy of occupational safety whistleblower laws administered by the Dept. of Labor. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, noon to 2 p.m.

The Eleventh Annual Ridenhour Prizes Ceremony and Luncheon will honor Edward Snowden and Laura Poitras with the prize for truth-telling. The prize for courage will go to  Frederick A.O.
